1. Who runs this site
ejcenteno.dev is the personal portfolio and blog of EJ Centeno, a frontend web developer based in Cabuyao, Laguna, Philippines. Contact: work@ejcenteno.dev.
2. What data is collected
This site has no user accounts, comment system or forms, and does not store visitor data itself. Contact is by email only. The following happens in your browser or at third parties:
- Google Analytics receives usage data: pages visited, device and browser type, approximate location (country or region) and referrer. IP anonymization is enabled.
- Google AdSense receives data to serve ads (see section 4).
- Hosting: the site is served by Firebase Hosting (Google), which processes request data such as your IP address to deliver pages.
- Images are loaded from Sanity's CDN (
cdn.sanity.io). - News page:
/newsloads Hacker News stories in your browser fromhacker-news.firebaseio.com, so that service sees your IP address. - Local storage: your light or dark theme choice is saved in your browser's
localStorageunder the keytheme. It never leaves your device.
3. Cookies and analytics
The site sets no cookies of its own. Google Analytics and Google AdSense set cookies to recognise returning browsers and measure usage. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
4. Advertising (Google AdSense)
Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and other sites on the internet.

5. Your choices
- Opt out of personalized ads using the links in section 4.
- Opt out of Google Analytics with the browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
- Block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
- This site does not respond to Do Not Track signals.
6. Third-party links
Posts and pages link to other websites. Their privacy practices are their own, and this policy does not cover them.
7. Data retention
This site stores no visitor data. Retention by Google follows Google's own policies.
8. Your rights under the Data Privacy Act of 2012
Under the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173), you have the right to be informed, to access, to object, to correct, to erase or block, to data portability, to file a complaint, and to claim damages, subject to the limits in the law. To exercise a right regarding any data held by this site's owner, email work@ejcenteno.dev. Data held by Google is handled under Google's policies.
9. Children's privacy
This site is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their data.
10. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated when the site or the law changes. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page shows the latest revision.
